Before you decide to change your Caller ID, we recommend you ask yourself three questions:
-
Do you have Regional Caller ID (RCI's) or hide Caller ID checked?
-
Is your caller ID number different from your link back?
-
Is your number in a message?
After navigating to Manage Campaigns > Campaigns and editing the record, you will first want to see if RCI's or "Hide caller id" are enabled. If one of those options are checked, that means what is set in the Caller ID field is not being used. However, the field still needs to have a valid 10 digit phone number. If you are removing the phone number from your voice account, you will want to replace it in dialer.
The caller ID and link back fields do not have to be the same number; you may only want to update one of them. It's important that both fields have working numbers that route back to your office.
If you are changing the number in your campaign, you will want to double check and make sure that the number being left in your message doesn't need to be updated as well. You can follow this guide to listen to your script and see what number is being left.
Important:
If you have RCI's enabled, changing the caller ID or link back in the campaign settings will not change the routing on that feature. You will need to reach out to the Arbeit support team to get that changed.
